Meet Luis Fernando – Director of Operations

Billing and Contract Department

Luis Fernando’s Role: Luis oversees the operation of our Bogotá office and staff. He works with the US-based law firms to assure the staff in Colombia work efficient and produce the highest quality services possible. Luis Fernando is responsible for communicating expectations to staff and motivating them to meet client objectives. He assures the office is secure and works to improve the daily operations of the professionals in Colombia.

Meet Paola – Administrative Assistant

Billing and Contract Department

Paola ‘s Role: Administrative Support for high-volume US-based law firm Paola’s Background: Paola is a professional with many years of work experience who is fluent in English and is highly reliable and dedicated.
Draft contracts for review by attorneys, send contracts to clients for signature, secure payments for legal services, send consent forms for client, and amend contracts as needed for existing clients.
Open virtual case files in all systems, including hourly billing program, forms programs and case management systems.
Create and send invoices to clients, follow-up with clients to secure payment of legal fees and track outstanding balances.
Secure payment from clients, log and track payment from clients, review monthly statements to assure income is properly recorded and record all income to reduce costs of bookkeeper and accountants in the US.
Save and track all receipts for firm expenses, log expenses, and reconcile expense and income records to reduce bookkeeping and accounting costs in the US.
Draft client case closing letters and send clients scanned copies of files at case closing.
Answer phones and take messages and calendar events on attorney calendars when the receptionist is out sick or at lunch

Meet Yesenia

Virtual Receptionists and Administrative Support Staff

Yesenia’s Role: Receptionist for high-volume US-based law firm Typical Receptionist’s Background: The typical receptionist is fluent in English and has many years of experience working as a bilingual professional for call centers or other companies. We search for individuals who have customer service experience and are great with clients over the phone and email.
Answer phones and take messages, calendar events on attorney calendars, and schedule consultations.
Respond via email to general firm inquiries made by email, yelp, external websites(Facebook, etc.), and email attorneys and legal staff to schedule client meetings.
Secure payment from clients, log and track payments from clients, review monthly statements to assure income is properly recorded, and record all income to reduce costs of bookkeeper and accountants in the US.
Save and track all firm receipts and reconcile expense and income records to reduce bookkeeping and accounting costs in the US.

Meet Jorge

Employment-based Immigration Legal Assistant

Jorge’s Role: Employment-based immigration legal assistant focusing on non-immigrant visa petitions (H-1B, TN, E-2, E-3) and immigrant visa petitions (EB-1, EB-2 National Interest Waiver petition and EB-2 and EB-3 PERM-based I-140 visa petitions).

Jorge’s Background: Daniel graduated is a law school graduate with formal legal training.

Draft labor condition applications and public access files for H-1B, H-1B1 and E-3 visa petitions, prepare I-129 petitions, draft employer letters for NIV petitions, and prepare attorney cover letters in support of I-129 petitions.
Research FAM provisions on E-2 requirements, research consular post requirements, prepare attorney cover letters and evidence in support of E-2 visa packets, review business plans in support of E-2 filings, prepare forms for attorney review and file final E-2 applications with DOS and USCIS after attorney’s final review and approval.
Use firm form program to send questionnaires and request documents from clients, draft and finalize forms for attorney review, complete I-485s and I-140 forms, respond to client inquiries, draft attorney cover letters, and assemble final application and petitions packets for final review.
Upon receipt of interview notices, collect updated evidence from clients and schedule attorney interview preparation sessions.
Open case files in all internal firm systems, assure payment is made in time by clients, and close client cases upon case completion.

Meet Santiago

Family-based Immigration Legal Assistan

Santiago’s Role: Family-based immigration legal assistant focusing on I-601 waivers, Adjustment of Status and Naturalization applications and I-751 petitions.

Santiago’s Background: Santiago is a law school graduate with formal legal training.

Draft declarations, collect evidence, research medical, psychological and country condition evidence, print and organize exhibits, draft attorney cover letter briefs, prepare forms and evidence, and finalize immigration packets for attorney review.
Use form program software to send questionnaires to clients, request documents from clients, draft and finalize forms, complete I-864 Affidavits of Support Forms with financial evidence, respond to client inquiries via email, draft attorney cover letters, and assemble final applications and petitions packets for final review by attorneys.
Upon receipt of interview notices, collect updated evidence from clients and schedule attorney interview preparation sessions.
Open case files in all internal firm systems, assure payment is made in time by clients, and close client cases upon case completion.
